Most of the problem is underground
Penguin Plumbing & Sewer Solutions works below grade across San Antonio — trenchless lining, cleanouts, grease interceptors, lift stations, gas runs, and yard drainage. We find out what's down there before anybody quotes a price.

Look first, then price it
Above-floor plumbing is visible. You can see the drip, point at the fixture, and judge whether the repair worked. Underground work has none of that, which is why it attracts the worst quoting in this trade — a number for a problem nobody has looked at, on a pipe nobody can see.
We do it the other way round. Camera the line, locate its path and depth, then put a price on a scope you've watched on a screen. When two methods genuinely fit, you get both numbers and the reasoning, including the times when digging is the better value.
How we workWhat that means for you
- The line's path and depth located before any excavation
- Camera evidence shown on screen, not just described
- Trenchless and open-cut both priced when both genuinely fit
- Work outside our scope named plainly, with a referral
What we handle below grade
Six specialties, most of them underground. If your problem is above the floor, we'll usually point you somewhere better suited.
Trenchless Pipe Lining (CIPP)
A new pipe formed inside the old one, through existing access points instead of a trench across your yard.

Six signs the problem is below grade
Underground problems don't improve on their own, and they get more expensive as they progress. Every one of these is cheaper to look at now.
What customers say
“They lined the lateral instead of trenching the driveway. Showed me the camera before and after, so I could see what I paid for.”
“We'd been told we needed a full sewer replacement. Their camera showed one bad section. They repaired that instead and said so upfront.”
“Added a cleanout that should have been there from the start. Every service call since has been faster and cheaper.”

Where we work
We work from Castroville Rd on the west side and cover San Antonio and the communities around it, generally inside about 25 miles. That includes Prospect Hill, Woodlawn, Palm Heights, downtown, the south and southwest sides, and out toward Leon Valley, Von Ormy, and Castroville itself.
If you're on the edge of that radius, call before booking — we'd rather tell you no on the phone than cancel on the day.
Call (726) 265-2980Frequently asked questions
Do you dig up the yard for every sewer job?
No, and we'd rather not. Where a line is a candidate for trenchless lining, that usually spares the yard entirely. Where it isn't — a collapsed section, severe offsets — excavation is the honest answer and we'll say so instead of selling a method that won't hold.
Why does everything start with a camera or a locate?
Because underground work is the one area where guessing is genuinely expensive. Digging in the wrong place costs a day and a yard. We locate the line's path and depth first so the excavation happens once.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, Penguin Plumbing & Sewer Solutions is licensed and insured for plumbing work in the State of Texas. Gas line work is permitted and inspected as part of our normal scope, not treated as optional.
What's the difference between a leak and a drainage problem?
Timing. A supply leak keeps ground wet continuously and usually shows on the water bill. A drainage problem is wet after rain and dries out between storms. We test before recommending either fix, because the two have completely different solutions.
What areas do you cover?
We're on Castroville Rd on the west side and serve San Antonio and surrounding communities, generally within about 25 miles. Call and ask if you're near the edge — you'll get a straight answer before booking.
Do you take commercial work?
Yes. Grease interceptors, lift stations, and larger drainage jobs are a real part of what we do. Mention the property type when you call so we schedule the right crew and equipment.
